I have learned from many experiences that the Holy Ghost speaks most often in a quiet voice, heard most easily when one’s heart is meek and submissive, like that of a child. In fact, the prayer that works is “I want only what You want. Just tell me what that is. I’ll do it.” – Steady in the Storms – President Henry B. Eyring

The closer we get to really believing this statement, the closer we get to God.

“True disciples of Jesus Christ are willing to stand out, speak up, and be different from the people of the world. They are undaunted, devoted, and courageous.” – President Russel M. Nelson

“Jesus Christ explained that His doctrine was not “to stir up the hearts of men with anger, one against another; but [that His] doctrine [is] that such things should be done away.” If I am quick to take offense or respond to differences of opinion by becoming angry or judgmental, I “fail” the spiritual stress test. This failed test does not mean that I am hopeless. Rather, it points out that I need to change. And that is good to know.” Elder Dale G. Renlund – October 2021

It is good to remember this the next time we feel anger rising up inside of us.

President Russell M. Nelson declared, “Anytime you do anything that helps anyone—on either side of the veil—take a step toward making covenants with God and receiving their essential baptismal and temple ordinances, you are helping to gather Israel. It is as simple as that”

“And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.” Matthew 14:28-20

All of Peter’s life experience told him that no human could walk on water.

There wasn’t any past evidence or social proof.

Peter had faith. “Lord, if you say I can do it, then I believe I can do it.”

Jesus told Peter to “come” and he did.

What else has the Savior asked us to do that seems impossible, that may go against the laws of physics or social norms?

What does it mean to have faith like Peter did on this day in the Sea of Galilee?

How can we exercise faith like Peter?
